HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

• To request the restriction of processing of personal data by AHB,

• To object to the processing of personal data by AHB,

• To receive information about whether your personal data is being transferred to third parties, both domestically and internationally,

• To request notification to third parties regarding the correction or deletion of data,

• To object if automated processing leads to a result that is disadvantageous to you,

• To claim compensation if you have suffered damages as a result of unlawful processing.

WHAT IS THE OBLIGATION FOR UPDATING AND PROPER RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA?

According to Article 4 of the KVKK, the law office AHB is obligated to comply with the legal requirement to keep personal data accurate and up to date. In this regard, data subjects are required to submit their accurate and current data to AHB so that AHB can fulfill its legal obligations. If your data changes, we kindly request you to contact us through the communication channels provided below and update your data.

HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US?

To exercise your rights under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), you can complete and submit your requests using the “Personal Data Protection Application Form (KVKK Başvuru Formu)” or send them in writing via registered mail to the address provided below. Alternatively, you can use your registered email address previously provided to us, secure electronic signature, mobile signature, or Registered Electronic Mail (KEP) address.

(In your application, the requested information must be clear and understandable and relate to you or a person represented by you. If you represent another person, you must attach a notarized special power of attorney to your application.)

According to the “Regulation on Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller (Veri Sorumlusuna Başvuru Usul ve Esasları Hakkında Tebliğ),” the following information is required:

• Last name, first name,

• Signature (for written applications),

• T.C. Identification number for Turkish citizens or nationality and passport number for foreigners,

• Residential address or business address for delivery, if applicable,

• Email address for notifications,

• Telephone and fax number, as well as the essential elements of the subject of the application.

Unfortunately, we will have to reject applications that do not include this information. If there are processing costs associated with your application, we will request these costs from you. These processing costs are a minimal amount determined by the Data Protection Authority in the “Regulation on Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller (Veri Sorumlusuna Başvuru Usul ve Esasları Hakkında Tebliğ).” According to this provision, no fee will be charged for the first 10 (ten) pages of written responses to your application, and a processing fee of 1 TL per page will be charged for each additional page over 10 (ten) pages. If your response is provided on a recording medium such as a CD or USB stick, you will be charged for the share of the recording medium costs. The requests contained in your application will be processed as soon as possible and no later than 30 (thirty) days, depending on the nature of the request.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING THE AHB PRIVACY POLICY

AHB reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy in accordance with legal provisions, secondary regulations, and decisions of the Data Protection Authority. These changes will take effect immediately upon their publication on the AHB homepage.
